Six Flags

We went to Six Flags last weekend. The weather was perfect, almost hot. It got up to the high 80s. We were only there for 4 hours, which wasn't quite long enough. We have season passes though so we'll be spending lots of days there this summer. Sydney loves to ride all the big thrill rides and Sam would like to, but he's not tall enough for some. He rides whatever they'll let him on. Sophie and Seeger aren't so adventurous. They like the more tame rides. Camille (Syd's friend), Sophie and Sydney on the scrambler. I hate this ride! It makes me sick!
Sam waiting in line for Thunder River. Seeger waiting to get on the "boat".

Ridin in Syle?

Eddie has had his mom's blazer at our house for almost a year now saying he's going to sell it, but hasn't made any steps towards doing that quite yet. Last weekend, he took the top off and took the kids for a ride in it. They thought it was kind of like a convertible. The girls have been begging him to pick them up from school in it. Do you think they'd feel the same if they were in high school?

One Person's Junk Is Another's Treasure

Maw Maw went garage sale shopping last night and found these "Lazy Town" dolls. Seeger was thrilled with his new "toys". We're not allowed to call them dolls. He slept with them last night and took them to Sam and Sophie's soccer games today and carried them all around the field. Thank you Maw Maw!!!

Landon Update

Landon is a little over 4 months old now. Don't you just want to eat his cheeks?

Seeger's First Trip To The Dentist

Seeger had his first dentist appointment this week. I was actually surprised at how good he did. He didn't love it but he cooperated and didn't cry. I guess he's growing up.

When Two Boys Collide...

Sam and Seeger had a head on collision tonight. Sam's top teeth crashed into Seeger's forehead. Sam got a fat lip and a cut up, bruised, swollen gum out of it. That isn't a tooth coming in on the top right. It's a big gash on his gum. Seeger got a small cut in his forehead and an immediate goose egg. It was quite dramatic around here for a while tonight!

A Visit From the Easter Bunny

The kids were excited with their Easter baskets. They got some candy of coarse and the boys got bubbles, a couple of movies, a few little toys, and Sam got new pajamas. Sophie wanted a new bible so Eddie and I got her that. Syd asked for a new DS game so she got that from us as well as an ipod case. They both got a cross necklace, some littlest pet shops, and new umbrellas too!

Sunday Best

All dressed and ready for church. Eddie was sick in bed with strep throat and didn't get to come with us to any of our Easter celebrations. He barely got out of bed all day. Church was awesome as we praised God for His gift and thanked Jesus for His sacrifice. We LOVE our new pastor. We want everyone to hear him.

Egg Hunt

The kids hunted eggs after Easter dinner. We had ham, asparagus, home grown green beans, sweet potatoes, salad, macaroni and cheese, deviled eggs, bread, and cherry pie with ice cream for dessert. Mom made everything!!! It was so good. Anyway, back to the egg hunt. The kids found 130 eggs in about 5 minutes and then ate so much candy out of them, Sophie got a bad belly ache.

Dying Eggs

We dyed eggs on Easter Sunday after our egg hunt. It's a tradition we just can't miss. The kids love doing it and this year maw maw, paw paw and Grandma Nevels got in on the action.

Meramec Caverns

Paw paw took the girls to Meramec Caverns on Friday with McKenzie and her paw paw. The girls had a GREAT time and can't wait to take me there and show me around. They had lots of interesting facts about the cave to tell me. On the way home, they went to Lone Elk Park and saw all kinds of deer, bison, elk, owls, a vulture, a bald eagle and other wildlife. Sophie said it was the "best day ever!!!"

Country Time

It's always a treat to go to the country, but the kids really love it when I go. And this week was extra special because maw maw and paw paw went too. The girls were a little disappointed that Grandma Carol didn't come. She was supposed to, but she got sick. Sophie said it was a little boring without Riley too, but that passed quickly and she found lots of fun things to do.

Eddie dropped Syd off on this tree stump in the middle of the lake. He told her he was going to leave her on it all night.
Sam had to have a turn too, of course.
