The girls made it back last Friday evening! We were so happy to have them home. It was a long week without them. They ended up having a great time. There were lots of stories to be told. I'm still hearing them a little each day. They made some new friends, tried new things, but most importantly, Syd gave her heart to Jesus. She truly understands what He did for her and accepts His gift! Praise God. She will be getting baptized in a couple of weeks!

Camp
Syd and Soph left for church camp Sunday afternoon. They'll be gone until Friday evening. They are 4 hours from home. They were so excited to go, but right before the bus left, Sophie looked like she was going to bust into tears. She said she had to go to the bathroom so she got off the bus and when she was done in the bathroom she came out and just lost it. She cried and cried. She said her stomach hurt. Maybe it was nerves. She still wanted to go. Then they called us on Monday night and Syd was crying so hard I couldn't understand a word she was saying. She had called home first and we were out, so she called my cell and when I answered, she said she didn't think I was going to answer. I think she was worried that she wasn't going to get to talk to us. She also said I forgot to pack her underwear which she wasn't too happy about. Luckily, we have good friends in the same town the girls are in and Syd got some underwear the next day. Then Soph got on the phone and she was fine at first, but then came her tears. I offered to go get both of them, but they both said they wanted to stay. I haven't heard from them since. I'm hoping no news is good news.

Little Angels
Don't they look so sweet? They don't always love each other this much. Theirs is a love-hate relationship. Sam puts up with sooooo much from his little bother, I mean brother. They are such opposites, just like the girls. One is completely laid back and the other is totally high maintenance. Thank God they are so different because if they were both high strung, high maintenance, high drama, they'd end up killing each other. God is so smart!!! His plan is perfect!Bad Hair Day

Summer Time
It's always an exciting time when the pool goes up. The boys had so much fun playing in it while it was filling that day. That water was so cold coming straight out of the hose, but I even got in and laid on a raft for awhile when there was only about 6 inches in it. I haven't been back in since though and that was about a week and a half ago. That water is FREEZING!!! Of course, not too cold for the kids to get in every day.

More Six Flags Fun
We went to Six Flags last Saturday with some friends from church and some friends from school. Sydney and Sam are quite the daredevils. They ride EVERYTHING! Sam still isn't tall enough for a few rides, but he rides everything he can. This time he rode 2 new coasters. One of them had lots of hoops and corkscrews. Sophie is even getting in on some roller coaster action. She loves the Screaming Eagle and a new one called Evil Knievel. Seeger on the other hand is a big chicken. He only likes the Log Flume and a train ride in Looney Tunes Land. He did eventually warm up to Thunder River, but was really scared at first.
All the kids in our group.
$8.99 for a bottomless bucket of cotton candy and/or popcorn was a big hit with the kids.

This was just before the tears came. Poor Soph!

Seeger with Bryan on Thunder River. He's hating life at this moment, but as soon as it was over, he wanted to do it again. He loved it the second time and wanted to keep riding it, but no one else did. We got SOAKED!!!
