Seeger's New Do
Eddie took Seeger to get his hair cut the other day and upon my request, told the lady to give him a skater cut like Sophie and Sam had with it longer on top and shaved halfway up the back. She took those clippers a little too far up the back though. He also has a lot of body to his hair so from the back it looked like a toupee. It was ridiculous looking. I called him Moe (from the 3 Stooges) all day. My mom and dad had to come over to see it before we got rid of that look. My dad couldn't get enough. He thought it was hilarious. Even Sydney and Sophie hated it! The next morning, I took him back for them to fix it and this is what's left. I'll get my money's worth out of this haircut!!!

No More Crib at the Trendley Home
We took down the crib at our house this summer. It was kind of sad. Someone has been in a crib at our house for almost the last 10 years. Sometimes we even had 2 kids in cribs at the same time. My cousin, Jessica, had a queen size bed to clear out of one of her spare rooms because she is making it into a nursery. She offered us the bed and Sophie was very excited to get a bigger bed. Thanks Jess! Sydney wanted to know why Sophie got a queen and I told her because Sophie IS the queen! Seeger got Sophie's old bed. He was also thrilled to get a big boy bed. Now, if I could just get the little stinker potty trained.

First Day of School
Summer break is over and today was the first day of school. Sydney and Sophie have been anxiously awaiting for school to restart. Sam on the other hand, not so much. Everyday this summer, the first words out of his mouth before his eyes were even all the way open were "Do we have church or school today?". He was almost in a panic each time he asked. When I would tell him no a big smile would spread out across his face. He wasn't upset this morning about going to school though, thank God (answered prayer). He was excited to see old friends and wear his new Spiderman tennis shoes. Syd is now in 4th grade, Soph is in 2nd, and Sam is going to half day preK.

The St. Louis Arch
We've lived about 30 minutes from the St. Louis Arch my whole life and I had never taken the kids. I hadn't been myself since I was a teenager. With 2 days of summer break left, I decided it would be something fun to do. The kids were excited. Sam thought it was going to be like a roller coaster ride.
View from the bottom.
Just before going in.
On our way up. It takes 4 minutes for the little car to make it to the top and 3 minutes to come back down.
Seeger was a little uneasy about the ride to the top. It's not for the claustrophobic. The tram car is VERY small.
Sydney took this great shot of the arch's shadow.

Seeger celebrated his 3rd birthday on August 8th. We had a small party with family. He is totally obsessed with Lightning McQueen from the Disney movie "Cars". Just about everything he got had "Lightning Queen" on it. He got pj's, shoes, sheets, a lamp, a patio set, lawn chairs, books, coloring book, little pool, swim ring, raft, beach ball, tshirts and lots of cars from the movie. All of this was Lightning Queen. He also got a gift all the way form Japan filled with lots of Japanese snacks and toys. Thank you everyone for helping make his birthday GREAT!

A Day At Six Flags
Isn't Sophie the little poser?
This was Seeger's first trip to Six Flags. He didn't know what to think. I was shocked that he rode any rides. He's kind of a chicken, but he rode pretty many. He loved the log flume. It was his first ride.

Sydney and Sam were the only two to ride this one. The rest of us hate spinning.
