First Snow (of the season)

Here's what we woke up to this morning. Mom and dad, you've missed at least round of snow. I know it pains you to be missing out on this and you have to suffer with the warm tropical weather in Hawaii. Don't worry though, I'm sure there will be lots more of the white stuff before winter is over. It's not even winter yet!

Ready for Christmas (NOT!)

We actually put the decorations up the weekend before Thanksgiving. I did do a little bit of shopping today (black Friday), but still much to do. One month from today, it will all be over.

Thanksgiving 2008

Thanksgiving wasn't the same this year. Our family was spread out all over the world and 2 in heaven this year. Mom and dad are in Hawaii, Steve is in Hong Kong, his family (Jen and the kids) in Japan, the Kains in Arkansas. We brought friends from church to fill in the gap. There was lots of great food and lots of noise! We are very blessed to have such a wonderful family and good friends! Great Grandma with the Trendley kids

Sam's meal consisted of hard salami, doritos, and iced animal crackers.

Seeger and Emma (out friends daughter). They played so good together. They played for a long time at the play dough table.

Happy Birthday Johnny Boy!!!

International Day

Sophie had international day at school yesterday. It was just for the second grades. They've been studying about different countries. They got to dress up like someone from another country, so she wanted to wear her kimono that maw maw and paw paw brought back from Japan this summer. She looks just like a Japanese local, doesn't she?

The Party

Here's all the kids who were at Sydney's party minus 2. Seeger, of course, wouldn't cooperate for the picture and Emily Crass was at the ER after an injury that occurred while at the party. She thought she may have broken a bone running around in the basement, but it was only some soft tissue damage, thank God! The kids played their version of laser tag which is running around in the pitch black basement with glow sticks trying to tag whoever was it. They also jumped on the trampoline, played on the rope swing, made a craft, we had a pinata, pizza, and ice cream sundaes. 3 of the girls spent the night. So much fun!!! Sydney got lots of littlest pet shop animals, a couple of webkinz, a gift card, money, chapstick, jewelry, a manicure set and more!

Sydney is 10 Today!!!

Coming down the stairs this morning. Poor Syd was born right in the middle of deer season. Eddie did come home last night and went to church with us and out to lunch before heading back to the woods.
Opening her presents with her siblings help.

Money for an ipod, which she already bought. Thanks to the Benefields in Japan for their contribution and to Grandma Nevels too. It cost $160. Her "friend" party is this Friday night at our house. She wants to play outside, make s'mores in the fire pit, have a pinata, make a craft, a play their version of laser tag in the basement.

Boys Like Playing Dress-Up Too

Eddie put this shirt and shorts together one day while I was at work. In his defense, he is color blind. Then Seeger finished the outfit off with Sydney's pink and brown plaid shoes that were several sizes too big, although you can't tell in this picture.
Sam in 2 of the girls winter scarves and one of Grandpa's old hats. Grandpa would have really enjoyed seeing Sam in his hat. Oh, how I miss him!

Happy Birthday Little Brother!!!

Jessica's baby shower

Jessica's first baby shower was tonight. Me and mom hosted, but Jess provided the place. It was at her house, so we all got to see the nursery. She got so many gifts. She got a changing table mattress and cover, diapers, wipes, lotions, powders, lots of clothes, crib toys, diaper pail, gift cards, bassinet, rocking chair, and lots more.
33 weeks

This was Jacob's tooth pillow. Aunt Carol made all the boys these one year for Christmas. June kept Jacob's and stitched "Landon" on the hat. That is one very special gift!!!

Landon's Aunt Kayla got this for him. How sweet is that. There were some wet eyes in the room when this one was opened.

Jessica in her new rocker we all chiped in to get her. It's in her room for those middle of the night feedings.
