I'M SO BORED!

getting started

After an almost 2 week beach vacation, we're home for 3 days and "there's nothing to do". The weather here is kind of unusual for the end of May. It's not very warm and it's been raining a lot, so for right now, swimming is out. Sydney and Sophie had gift certificates for The Painted Zebra, which is a place where you pick out a ceramic piece to paint, then they glaze it and fire it. We decided it sounded like something fun to do today. We had lunch first at Syd's favortite, Fazolis. Then, we went to create a masterpiece. Sydney picked a bunny and a heart shaped trinket box to paint. Sophie chose a penguin and a rectangle shaped box and Sam got a VW Bug bank to paint. They all had lots of fun. Thanks Katie!! Sam kept saying "This is so special" as he was painting his bank. We get to pick up the finished product in a couple of days."This is so great I can hardly stand it!!!!"

Seeger missed out on all the fun. He had to stay home and take a nap.

PRETTY AS A PICTURE

Trying to get a great picture of all 4 kids is next to impossible.
The sun was too bight for Seeger so he wouldn't take his hands away from his eyes.



I love this one and I have an even better one to put on the Christmas photo this year, but I want it to be a surprise, so you'll have to wait.

GOIN' ON A CRAB HUNT

Eddie and Rodney took the kids to hunt for crabs on the beach at night. Sydney was the master crab catcher. After they caught 18 crabs, they put them in the baby pool on the beach we bought for Seeger and Jake.

WHAT AN ADVENTURE!!!!

Getting strapped in for the ride of a lifetime!

Sydney, Sophie, Emily, and Julie went parasailing one day. Julie didn't really want to go, but the girls weren't heavy enough because it was so windy. I volunteered to take the pictures. Julie was thrilled.
They got a "dip" in the water with their trip. They all said they didn't want to be dipped, but the driver of the boat asked me if they wanted to and I said "no, but do it anyway". Syd and Soph said that was the best part.
"Let's do it again!!!!"


Sydney & Sophie wanted to do it again so badly. Emily and Julie said once was more than enough.

Syd's best friend from school, Paige, was also vacationing in Florida with her family.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

Pray for us as we travel to Florida, ALL 6 OF US!!!!! We are headed to Panama City Beach Florida for 10 glorious nights of fun in the sun. We are meeting our vacation buddies, the Balkes, there. We also have other friends vacationing at the same time withing 10 miles of where we are going to be. We plan to hook up with them for at least one day. My parents are flying down too and will be there for 3 nights with us, if my dad can handle the chaos that long! My Grandma is even thinking about joining us. Should be a blast! I'll have lots of pics to post when we return.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL MOMS

What an aweosme mother's day it was in our family. We have been waiting for over a year for this news. Jessica and Matt gave June a mother's day gift. It was some baby bibs that said "I love Grandma" and a little onsie. They are expecting their 1st baby after trying for more than a year. There wasn't a dry eye in the room. The baby is due December 25th. Isn't God Great?!!!!!
Doesn't Jake look awesome? He got new lungs in January and is doing really good. He is going to be a great Uncle.

Barry had a collision while going on a bike ride. He hit car, flew over the handle bars and landed on the windshield. He got a few pretty bad cuts on his face, but he's fine. Luckily the car was parked.
