Sydney's Baptism

Syd got baptized this past Sunday by the children's pastor at our church. We had a big crowd there. Great-grandma Nevels, maw maw, paw paw, grandma Carol, Nicole (Cooley), Matt, Jess, Dave, Bev, McKenzie, Sophie, Sam, and of course mom and dad were all there to see it. It was VERY awesome! I am so thankful that she has accepted Christ's gift, praise Him!

Sam's New Talent

Sam is so excited that he learned to ride a two-wheeler this summer. He's tried it a couple of times before, but couldn't get the balance thing down. He just learned on June 29th and is already jumping ramps and riding down big giant hills. This boy has no fear!

July 4th

We had about 60 people over for the 4th and had a big feast, then watched a big fireworks display that a couple of friends put on. Here is a picture of some of the kids that sat in the Blazer that was parked in the culdesac. They watched the show from here. There were at least 10 more kids that wouldn't fit in this first class seating that watched from the driveway.

Raging Rivers

Raging Rivers is something we try to do every summer at least once. This year we took the Orlando girls (friends from school) and the Jefferson girls, although Emma left with her mom before I took this picture. Sophie went too, but she refused to be in the picture below. Seeger stayed home with maw maw and paw paw. He was sick that day.

Syd's Softball Team

Sydney has played softball for 3 seasons now and she really likes it. Her game has improved quite a bit. She plays 2nd base and center field. She's been with the same girls and coaches since she started and plans on playing with them in the spring again.

Something Borrowed, Something Blue

Sophie and I went to her 2nd grade teacher's wedding this summer. Miss Holt was such an awesome teacher. She just loved Sophie to death and Soph loved her too. She was a beautiful bride.

Puppy Love

The girls love it when maw maw calls and offers to take them to the mall. That always means a trip to the pet store and some time to play with the puppies. They are both little animal lovers. Sometimes I feel really guilty that I won't let them get a dog or a cat, but the guilt always passes! I think maw maw should get a dog!

Eddie's Birthday

I took Eddie to the Ameristar to spend the night for his birthday. The girls were at church camp and the boys were at my mom and dad's. It was relaxing, quiet, and very nice. The hotel is over the top. I had wanted to spend the day at the pool soaking up some sun with a book and no one screaming mommy, but it was a huge down pour the whole next day. We still enjoyed it though!

The bathroom was unreal. It had a flatscreen TV on the wall that you could watch from the tub.
